- Is Woof Dah! part of a franchise?
No. Woof Dah! is a family owned business with it's only location in Burnsville. You'll find the owner, Jillian, right here on site at least five days a week making sure everything is just right for your best friend. Back to top
- How long have you been in business?
Woof Dah! was one of the first doggie daycares to open in the Twin Cities area way back in 2003. Boy does time fly! Back to top
- Do you separate the small and large dogs?
No. The dogs spend the day in a highly supervised, mixed size group. On a normal day, we have everything from a Daschund to a Saint Bernard and everything in-between. All dogs must be at least 15 lbs. Back to top
- Do you have an outside area?
Yes, we have an outside potty/play area. Back to top
- Is tipping appropriate?
While we always appreciate a tip, it is not necessary or expected. However, a gift of a large Nylabone, goodies for the staff or a donation of a leather sofa or chair is always appreciated. Also, if you've had particularly great service from a particular staff member, remember to click on "Let us know what you think" so that person can be rewarded. Back to top
- How many dogs do you take at a time?
During the day we have up to 50 guests. We average about 20 guests overnight. Back to top
- What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept checks, cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Back to top
- How often does my dog need to attend?
While we don't have any minimum attendance requirement, it is in your dog's best interest to bring him at least once per month, even if it's just for a half day of play. Frequent visits allows your dog to develop lasting friendships with dogs and staff that will help him feel safe and happy while you're away. Back to top
- What is the difference between daycare & boarding?
Daycare is when you drop off and pick up your dog on the same day. Boarding is when your dog spends the night with us. Back to top
- Does Woof Dah! offer gift certificates?
Yes! We have gift certificates available for any amount. You can get a gift certificate in person, by phone or order one through our online store. We are happy to mail your gift certificate to you free of charge. Back to top
- What type of collar is required for play?
Your dog's collar (or harness) must have "pinch to release" buckles and his first and last name on it. If you don't have one, you can get one for $4 when you arrive. (We have lots of fun color choices!) New dogs will receive a personalized collar on orientation day. Back to top
- What is a "pinch to release" buckle?
A pinch to release buckle is found on most nylon collars. It is usually made of black plastic and consists of a "fork" and a "sleeve." To release the buckle, you squeeze the two edges of the "fork" & it will pop out of the "sleeve." This type of buckle allows our staff to quickly get the collar off your dog in an emergency. Confused? Feel free to call us & we'll be happy to help. Back to top
- Why does my dog have to wear a special collar?
All dogs must wear a collar for safety and ID purposes. In the event of an emergency, your dog would need his collar in order to vacate the facility. Back to top
- What happens if I don't bring the right collar?
We have collars available for $4 that you can purchase on the spot. We also have embroidered collars that you can order. Back to top
- I see wet spots on the beds. Do the dogs pee on the beds?
Wet spots on beds are usually caused by dogs who like to use the bedding as a towel after pool time or a bath. Remember that we do baths all day long. If an accident does occur on a bed, our staff will change the sheet and sanitize the bed right away. Back to top
