Woof Dah! is the best no-cage daycare and boarding facility in the South Metro, MN area! We have been pampering pooches for over 20 years! We have all sorts of fun play areas for your dog, including a fantastic swimming pool with a real waterfall and an outdoor plaza with water fountains to play in! Our facility features staffing 24/7/365. Yeah, that's right, we have staff that stays with your dog all night! We also have eight webcams that operate 24 hours a day! You'll find all the information you need to get started below! Our team has over 100 years of dog care experience. We can't wait to meet you!

Our Promise to You and Your Dog

  • Staff: We are very picky about who cares for your pet! We have a Shift Leader who has a bachelors degree, associate's degree, veterinary technology or veterinary assistant degree, dog training degree or two or more years of industry experience on duty all day, every day. We also have four to six care attendants who will watch over your dog's group interactions, eating habits, health and emotional well-being during the day. At bedtime, your dog will enjoy the company and security of an overnight care attendant. If your dog sleeps on your bed at home, we'll be glad to share our bed with him while you're away.  Meet our team
  • Playgroups: Our playgroup has lots of other fun and friendly pre-screened dogs. Playgroups are never, ever left unattended.
  • No Cages: Your dog is never put in a crate, cage or lonely "suite." Even bed time is a cage-free, group event. For meal times, scheduled naps, parent requests, illness or injury, behavior issues and time-outs, our large 4' x 3' kennels in the Caribbean Cafe are used.
  • Freedom: Our facility is designed to let your dog do whatever he wants, whenever he wants! Our dog areas are interconnected which gives your dog the option to enjoy many exciting areas of our facility anytime. Amenities for play and snoozing are accessible all day. Outdoor potty areas are also available all day long.
  • Illness: We have strict vaccination, health, and sanitation policies in place to keep the risk of illness to your dog at an absolute minimum. If we become aware that an illness is going around, we will notify you via our emailing list and Health Alerts page so that you have the information you need to make the right decision for your pet. Any dog showing signs of illness will be separated from the group.
  • Medical or Behavior Issues: We will notify you of any minor medical or behavior issue, or potential issue we discover when you pick up your dog. We will notify you of any significant medical or behavior issues right away. And, in the event that a problem occurs while you are unavailable, we will handle the problem promptly on your behalf with your dog's safety, health and happiness as our top priorities.
  • Amenities: Our overnight and daytime snoozing accommodations are real mattresses with real bedding, just like home. And, unlike many doggie daycares, we have some great stuff here like lots of toys, a real swimming pool and a huge pirate ship to play on!
  • Facility Safety: Our custom built facility has been designed with your dog's safety in mind. Just a few of our many safety conscious design features include a facility wide fire sprinkler system, 10" thick insulated concrete walls, a large window-free storm shelter/sleeping area for the utmost in severe weather safety and an 8' high outdoor concrete block fence to make escape nearly impossible, even for the most talented pet.
  • Climate Control: Our entire facility is heated or cooled to 68-72 degrees year round. This provides a comfortable play environment for your dog and protection from potentially serious weather related problems such as heat stroke.
  • Specialization: While most dog care facilities offer additional services to make money such as classes & training, grooming, do-it-yourself dog wash facilities and more locations, we choose not to. Our owner and staff are 100% focused on what we do best - and what matters to you most: providing the very best cage-free care for your dog. Woof Dah! is a locally owned and operated, single location business. We truly believe that it is in your dog's best interest to "do one thing, and do it well!"

Must play nice with other dogs around toys, food, and new people. We are strict about not allowing dangerous, disruptive, or unpleasant behaviors for our guests. The following behaviors are not allowed: aggressive behavior or behaviors that become excessive such as barking, humping, whining, or rough play. We will inform you if we notice these behaviors and discuss additional options with you. If we cannot keep these behaviors under control, we may ask that your dog not return.
  • Age: Must be between 16 weeks and 11 years of age on Orientation Day. Existing clients over the age of 11 are welcome!
  • Spay/Neuter: Must be spayed or neutered if eight months of age or older.
  • Weight: Must be at least 15 pounds and not over 130 pounds.
  • Breed: We love dogs! All dogs! Unfortunately, our insurance provider will not allow the following breeds or mixes of the following breeds:
  • American Staffordshire Terrier
  • Stafforshire Bull Terrier
  • Pit Bull Terrier
  • Akita
  • Akita Inu
  • American Bulldog
  • English Bulldog
  • Bull Terrier
  • Mini Bull Terrier
  • Blue Paul Terrier
  • Anatolian Shepherd
  • Caucasian Shepherd
  • Alapaha Bulldog
  • Bull Mastiff
  • Neapolitan Mastiff
  • Tibetan Mastiff
  • Dogue De Bordeaux
  • Dogo Argentino
  • Ca De Bou
  • Fila Brasileiro
  • Tosa Inu
  • Cane Corso
  • Alano Espanol
  • Boerboel
  • Presa Canario
  • Broholmer
  • American Bandogge
  • Kangal Dog
  • Sage Koocheel
  • Gull Terrier
  • Gull Dong
  • Wolf Hybrid
  • French Bulldogs and French Bulldog mixes are acceptable. Additionally, we can accept Great Danes if they have the "stomach tacking surgery" otherwise we don't or Greyhounds/Italian Greyhounds due to exceptionally fragile skin and bones.
  • Health Conditions: The following health conditions make it unsafe for your dog to play with us:
  • Total blindness
  • Severe or uncontrolled seizures
  • Diabetes
  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Addison's disease
  • Bloat/gastric torsion
  • More than one leg amputation
  • Exercise-induced collapse or any other major or life threatening health problem or problem that prevents your dog from safely playing with other dogs in a group situation.
  • Vaccinations: Unfortunately, for insurance reasons, we cannot give injections. Your dog must have current rabies, DHPP (distemper combination) and Bordetella vaccinations for at least one week before Orientation & Evaluation Day. The Influenza Vaccine is required but we are temporarily waiving that requirement due to the nationwide shortage. Please contact our staff for some suggestions of veterinarians that may have stock on hand now.  (Please note that the Bordetella vaccination, like the human flu shot, does not protect against all strains of kennel cough) Any initial series of vaccinations must also be complete. We accept titer tests in place of DHPP or rabies vaccinations after 1 year of age. Titer test documents must show that your dog has sufficient immunity and needs to have a retest date.  Other vaccinations, such as Lyme and Leptospirosis are strongly recommended, but not required at this time. Please talk to your veterinarian about the best vaccination strategy for your dog.
  • Discipline: For general shenanigans, we will us a verbal command "no" and a squirt bottle of water if needed. If those methods are not working, and a behavior is disrupting the playgroup, a time out in the Caribbean Café may be tried. Dogs behaving in a way that endangers the safety of themselves, other dogs or staff will be kenneled in our Caribbean Café and their parents will be called. Dogs who are disruptive in Slumber Bay overnight will be kenneled in our Caribbean Café until the morning.
  • Prohibited Items: Bandages, cones, stitches, booties/socks, bandanas, bows, flea/tick collars and similar items will be eaten by other dogs and are not allowed.
  • Flea/Tick Prevention: A topical or chewable flea and tick preventative such as Frontline, Bravecto, or NexGard is required. A flea/tick collar won't be sufficient. It will be eaten by the other dogs.
  • Attire: Your dog's collar must have a quick release buckle (where you pinch with two fingers to release it) and your dog's first and last name. If you don't have one, a loaner collar will be provided.
  • Contagious Conditions: Dogs found to have puppy warts, kennel cough, worms, fleas, parasites, frequent or liquid diarrhea, vomiting or any other potentially contagious condition, illness or injury will be isolated in a kennel in our Caribbean Café. We will then contact the owner(s) to determine the best course of action. If an owner cannot be reached, the dog may be taken for treatment by a veterinarian at the owner's expense.
  • Liability: The owner is responsible for injury or illness, including contagious illness.
